The Shibori technique used for this product is called "Itajime Shibori". The fabric is intricately folded and sandwiched between boards, and only a small portion protruding from the panels is carefully dipped into the dye. After drying and spreading out, as you can see, the patterns are lined up neatly but not too much leaving the beauty of handmade work. For dark line one, a board is sandwiched in a black T-shirt, and the exposed area is bleached to make it gray. Because the timing of the dye soaking is done by hand, the dyeing process varies from piece to piece. Please enjoy the supple texture of cotton and the loose silhouette.
